All doors & windows to be manufactured by WoodLtd® Studio Thailand. Doors to be solid teakwood, no veneers. Stiles and rails to be mortise and tenon construction and glued with exterior Type-1 waterproof glue. All panels to be end-sealed before assembly. Edge glued door/window members to be v-grooved and permanently bonded with waterproof exterior Type-1-glue. Molding around all lites and panels on doors and windows specified as such by WoodLtd® Studio.

CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY

With each door and window we issue a Lifetime Certificate of Authenticity. WoodLtd® Studio certifies that every door and window we design and make is by order only. This is an original and authentic product. It is genuine and the only one made by WoodLtd® Studio. It is not a replica, a rebuild or repair; it has been newly built by skilled artisan. No two doors or windows are identical, thus making each one of a kind. Only authentic hand carving is performed, no routers or machine tools of any type are used.

Please Note: The decks of the Titanic were covered in teak, and the wood is as good today as the day she sank on 1912.

WOOD SOURCE

Each door and window has a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody (CoC) certificate to guarantee the source was a sustainable plantation.

KILN-DRYING

We keep all our wood in the oven for two (2) weeks to a moisture content of 10-12% followed by one (1) week of ‘resting’ to reabsorb moisture in the air to ~14%. The moisture level is being measured by electronic instruments.

MATERIAL

PANELS

Structural hardwood V-grooved minimizes the possibility of a joint separation. Permanently bonded with watertype-1 glue.

STILES & RAIL CONSTRUCTION

Mortise and tenon, glued with exterior Type-1 waterproof glue.

Because wood tends to warp when it becomes damp, we make vertical rails from two separate pieces of wood, then laminating them together lengthwise, with the grain running in opposite directions. The same is done with the stiles. Then when moisture penetrates the door, the laminated pieces tend to bow in opposite directions, negating the warping effect.

MOLDING

Molding around all lites and panels. Certain designs have recessed molding.

PANEL END SEALING

All panels are end sealed with under coat paint before the door is assembled to minimize shrinking and swelling.

FRAME

SANDING

Machine sanded with super fine No. 220 grit paper followed by detailed hand sanding. No machine or cross grain sand marks. Ready for finish.

PRE-HUNG

		Both doors and windows can be ordered as pre-hung units. This means that the door or window is set within a frame and the standard hinges are mounted. You may select either left or right hand, in-swing or out-swing orientation for single and for double doors, please see photo for details.

COLOR

Standard Door/Window Colors: Please note that WoodLtd® Studio premier hardwoods vary in color and grain texture (natural variations), which can affect the actual finish color of the wood. Variances in photography and printing may also cause finish colors shown in this catalog to vary from actual finish.

CARVING

Only authentic hand carving is performed, no routers or machine tools of any type are used. Carving on both sides of the door or window. Over 4,000 carving designs available for doors, windows, frames, casing and lintels.

FINISH

FUMIGATION

Every door and window together with wood crating, pallet and all Non-Manufactured Wood Packing Material (NMWP) to be fumigated with Methyl Bromide [CH3Br] and are free from wood termites. Formal Certificate of Fumigation is provided according to wood import regulations of European Union, United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

PACKING

Each door, window and gate is individually poly bagged and boxed with 300# psi doubled wall cardboard and placed in wooden crate.

DELIVERY TIME

IMPORTANT! Due to war on terror and after 9/11 US Customs check random containers for presence of explosives. They may hold incoming shipment at the main US entry port from 1-2 weeks for inspection.

PAYMENT TERMS
